Hiring the canoes and travelling by yourselves is the most popular way of discovering the Whanganui River, and the cheapest option! You navigate the river on your own and stay at the designated Department of Conservation campsites along the river.   

We are one of the smallest operator's, therefore you get our full attention. We also give you alot of advice and information to help you with your adventure. A gear list is provided when confirmation of booking is received. But basically you provide your own food and camping equipment.

Price includes – canoe, life jacket, paddle, barrels, dry bag, baler, rope, maps and river briefing, and of course transport to and from the river.
