Making a booking or reservation –
As all our trips and tours operate on a demand basis just tell us the dates you are interested in for your trip and we will work towards fulfilling your needs. Always have a couple of days spare in case the river/weather conditions become unsuitable though.
Reservation Conditions –
Please note all booking must be confirmed with a deposit paid into our bank account directly using a reference name or paid by cheque posted to our office. An email confirmation will then be sent to you as soon as funds have cleared in our bank account.
Deposits will not be refunded for any short notice cancellations or if you do not arrive. If you arrive too late on the day of departure we may have to give you an alternative trip depending on availability or postpone to the next availability date. We will however deduct an administration fee if you cancel your trip with a reasonable amount of notice.
Whanganui River Guides reserve the right to cancel any trip or tour due to weather forecast and or river levels being unsafe. In this case if either party cannot make an alternative date a refund will be given.
Once a tour has left the designated departure point, no portion of the trip/ tour cost will be refunded in the event of any individual or group not being able or wanting to proceed.
Freedom hire trips require $100 deposit each canoe – (example – 4 persons, 2 x canoes - $200)
Guided Tours require a deposit of 50% of the total tour cost (example – 4 persons @ $600 per person $1,200)
